This very well may already be noted in some knowledge base, but fact of the matter is that I should not have to hunt for it, especially after my company bought 10 copies of video studio 9 at $100/bucks a pop.
Anyway, it disables Flash Player 8. Here are the parameters of the problem...
Each person that is having trouble has Flash 8 (the development program) installed on their computer with its stand-alone player (I don't think that's relevant, but I thought I would mention it).
When Video Studio is installed, they can no longer view Flash content in their Internet Explorer Browser.
If I log in as an administrator, I can view Flash Content.
If I make them an administrator on their own computer, THEY can view Flash content...
If I then take the admin rights away, they can no longer view Flash content.
If I uninstall the program, and then re-install Flash Player, they can see Flash content.
Yes, I am sure that someone's answers will be that I have to check with the network security folks over here for some kind of setting...that's great. Their recommendation? Uninstall the program and do not use it. As the Flash plug-in works when the program is NOT installed and does not work when the program IS installed, the problem is in the program.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks.
By the way, I attempted to register the program and pursue this through ULEAD's technical support section on their website...when you click "Continue" after selecting the product from the pull-down menu, nothing happens. I have tried it a dozen times. When I emailed customer service, their response (in an auto-reply) was to contact technical support...kind of an oxymoron, when the technical support part of the website is broken.

Never mind. I fixed it.
FYI: Always install this program under the individual user's profile on a network system (i.e. log them in, give them admin rights on their computer, install program) rather than installing it under your own profile. The program itself works fine, but it kills their Flash player for some reason. When you do it under their own profile, everything works.
