DVDMF.EXE Application Error on Installing Movie Factory, v.5

Post by brywkeo »

I've attempted two installs of Movie Factory v.5 which I just bought.

Following the message "Ulead BD Disc Recorder 2.5 is being installed, please wait," I get the following error message: "DVDMF.EXE - Application Error. The Instruction at "0x02112fa9" referenced memory at "0x02184ea8". The Memory could not be read. Click on OK to terminate program." I do so and the program continues to install.

I'm I going to have problems here with this failed installation????

Thanks
Bryan

The point tyamada is making is that when I installed Movie Factory 5 I got a couple of error messages and chose to ignore them and everything as far as I can tell is working OK. No doubt at some time in the future some little niggle might appear.

One of the error messages I had during my installation related to a PDF file. Whe the Installation had finished I went to that PDF file and found that despite the error message it had in fact installed and opened up with Adobe Acrobat with no problems whatsover.

If you're worried then download the setup files again.
Uninstall Movie Factory 5 as per the 5th post down here:

Then try installing again from the other download.
