Hi Guys
I'm running the C3d Production Studio trial. One thing I can't fathom out is how to import an image as it only allows windows metafiles. All my image software (e.g. photoshop do not seem to save to this format). I managed to get a wmf image via Flash but when I tried to open it I got an error mesage saying it "only works with closed paths and it couldn't find any!"
can you import images or not or am I getting something wrong here?

Gra,
Ulead COOL3D allows one to import vector files: Adobe Illustrator files, WMF and EMF. Also one can convert common image file types such as BMP and JPEG into vector paths. Also, COOL3D PS can directly import 3D model formats such as 3DS and X models.
Closed paths. If you are using AI or another devoted vector-based program, before saving use closed path option. This will immediately identify where a stray path is orphaned and it will close it. COOL3D PS does a good job with BMP and JPG files. One may need to play with the tolerance, jump point and threshold controls to get the desired result. I wrote a tutorial showing how to do this. Here it is: http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=9981
Hope this helps.

I have the same problem as rwernyei - I convert my psd object to an ai file and it recognized by C3DPS. How do you close the path?? I cant find that option anywhere in Photoshop or Corel PhotoPaint....
Converting a bmp or jpg directly in C3DPS just isnt good enough - it leaves a rough edge in its best settings....
HELP!

James,
Take a look at this, for closing paths in Adobe products.
