New to Ulead, video editing and DVD burning (yikes). Have completed editing videos and making slideshow in VS9 SE. Video clips captured from Panasonic camcorder. Saved 2 videos and slideshow to video to get into MF4. Had to save slideshow with one of videos since MF4 would not recognize as video files. I think I chose setting "same as 1st video clip" when I saved. After about an hour of rendering in MF4, I get the error message "audio data in MPEG file not compatible with this program". I do not get this - everything plays fine in MF4, so how can it not be compatible. There is audio from my video clips and then added music, too. Would appreciate any help. Waited three day for answer from tech suppt and growing impatient!
P.S. VS9 SE and MF4 came with Pioneer drive. Happy with what they do, even though it sounds like they are not full versions. Would like to find a way to work with what I have. May upgrade at a later date, depending upon my needs...

More info added to above question
More info that might help answer above regarding MPEG audio not being compatible:
media clip properties (from right click on clips in MF4):
Audio
Compression: DV Audio - NTSC
Attributes: 32,000 kHz, 12 Bit, Stereo
Project Settings (when click on cog in lower left screen):
24 Bits, 352 x 240, 29.97 fps
(MPEG-1), 4:3
Video data rate: 2000 kps
Audio: 224 kps
MPEG audio later 2, 44.1 kHz, Joint Stereo
Also, do I need to change the disc template? I just went with default with has Digital Dolby Audio.
Thanks again.

You don't get support with the "free" SE versions. Too bad they don't at least send you an automated response telling you that.Waited three day for answer from tech suppt and growing impatient!... VS9 SE and MF4 came with Pioneer drive
Saved 2 videos and slideshow to video... audio data in MPEG file not compatible... everything plays fine...
I don't know exactly what's going on... I'll bet it's not really the audio. I think something's wrong with your MPEG.
Did you save the video and slideshow as MPEG?
Did you do any editing to the files after they were converted to MPEG? I've had lots of problems when editing MPEGs,... I've had MPEGs that would play-back fine, but would sometimes cause problems when trying to make a DVD.
This has nothing to do with your real problem...Project Settings (when click on cog in lower left screen):
24 Bits, 352 x 240, 29.97 fps
(MPEG-1), 4:3
Video data rate: 2000 kps
But, you'll get better quality with MPEG-2, higher resolution, and a higher bitrate. (It looks like you clicked a VCD template instead of a DVD template.)

There is your problem. MPEG1 is VCD/SVCD.2girlsmama wrote:......

These formats do not support Dolby digital.
The correct format for DVD is MPEG2.
A list of suggested settings is on the 7th post down here:
