Using Quicktime with embedded alpha in MSP v8

Post by daxtrajero »

I'm creating Quicktime with embedded alpha using Digtal Juice's Juicer2 product. The alpha channel does not work at all in Ulead

Alternatively, if I create avi with embedded alpha instead from Juicer2 - everything works fine.

Can anyone tell me why Quicktime with embedded alpha isn't working ?

Do I need Quicktime Pro or is it something else ?

While I cannot tell you why it is not working, I shall nevertheless point out that on Digital Juice support page, the setting to be used on Juicer2 for Mediastudio Pro is AVI and not Quicktime.
I would suggest that you ask the question to DigitalJuice.

I have exactly the same problem with Quicktime MOVs purchased from Digital Hotcakes that contain alpha channel. As I am about to buy some stuff from Digital Juice, it is encouragin to discover that I will be able to use the AVIs generated in Juicer.

Is there any chance of conerting the Quicktime clips with alpha channel to a compatible format in MSP8, without losing the alpha channel?
