Version 8 does not find all scenes on my DVDs when importing

I have a home-made DVD which I created using v8. I need to import few clips back to my PC and create another DVD. When I use insert DVD/DVD-R function it does not find all of my scenes. I have many scenes on my DVD, about 30 and version 8 misses some scenes. I tried to import the entire disk by selecting all clips and foud that not all clips were imported. Is that a bug? Can anybody suggest an alternative approach?

I'm pretty surprised at that problem!
One of the better things about VS8 was the import function from DVD was very good.
Have you explored the possibility that the scenes actually have been imported but are appended to another clip. What I mean is that although the thumbnail shows a particular scene, one of the missing ones you are looking for is actually at the back end of another clip so does not show as a thumbnail.

I am suprised myself. I imported from other DVD without any problems.
I tried to import the entire disk by selecting all clips - the amout of imported files turned out to be about about 2GB while the size of my DVD was full 4 GB. That is, not all of files were imported to my hard drive. However DVD itself is fine - I can see all clips while watching DVD on PC or TV.

I imported all of my files to C drive by using DVD shrink. DVD shrink found all of the clips. When I try to import clips from the directory on hard drive version 8 still cannot find all the clips.
