No auto audio crossfade

Post by ando775 »

Using MSP8, it has stopped auto crossfading on audio tracks for some reason. I have the option selected in the preferences and I've tired unchecking it then rechecking it and it doesn't come back. I'm not sure what's going on. Has anyone else experienced this?

Also, since it isn't working I've had to manually set the volume but I'm getting a pop at the end and beginning of each file. Any ideas as to the cause and possible solution?

umm, maybe try clicking on the auto crossfade button, then on the two tracks you want to cross fade. From memory this is how you do it in MSP7, but I am not at my editing computer so can't say for sure with 8.
Hope this helps.

There isn't an auto crossfade button in MSP8. Since you can now overlap clips on the same track, it is only necessary to set the auto crossfade setting in the preferences dialog and it should do it every time two audio clips overlap. Except for mine apparently. It used to, but now it doesn't.

Is there a fade-in or audio adjustment at the beggining of the track? I believe that is an open bug, where an audio track with an adjustment at the beginning sometimes will not auto-crossfade at the other end...

AHhh, that could be it. I'm not at my machine right now, but I'm pretty sure there is an adjustment at the begigging of the clip. Thanks for the help.
