Import more new "objects" for library
Is there a way to import more objects/decorations into Ulead 9
and where can they be found?
Think they are .png files..

Yes you can import more frames and objects into the library of UVS9 in exactly the same way as you import videos and images by using the 'opening folder' icon at top right corner of the library pane.
I find the best way of getting more frames etc. is to make my own - any good image/photo manipulation packages will make .png images - or you could use the free copy of Cool3D which came with UVS to make 3D frames etc. that you can use as .tga images for the same effect.

Any of the supported image formats will work. When you go to import an image, click on the drop down, and all the image formats listed are supported.raygo wrote:yes I am aware of clipart but I assumed that since I was using the supplied .png files , they were the only file ext that would work in overlay.
However if you are wanting to use transparency, then the image format will have to support it. For example, gif, png, tga. Those formats support the transparency.

Your free copy of Ulead Cool3D is included in the extra content "Smart Download" that you can download after you have installed the upgrade file - see here for further information :-

Oddly enough the newer version is Cool 3D Production Studio 1.0raygo wrote:Has anyone used the newer cool 3d 3.5 and is it much better than the supplied 3.0 version?
There is a comparison available here:

Yes. your right.
was looking at that today.. think I might have meant 3.5 as the new version.
So the one that came bundled with my UVS9 is more or less a slimmed down starter version then..
I also have another posted question here if you don't mind:
Can more flash animation be imported into Ulead 9 and where
can they be found? free/fee?
Sounds like I want all the neat "insertable" stuff here but I do remember reading about someone saying that too much in the overlay and your movie starts looking like a Batman comic.. That is something I will always keep in mind..

Raygo,
Yes you can import additional flash content into VS9. Just google for flash files, or flash movies as their are called, or SWF. You can also create your own. There are numerous flash authoring programs available, from the elite Adobe/Macromedia down to simple text/title types.
