Picture distortion

I am having to learn Ulead as I go in helping a High School class. You have already helped me with the pan and zoom now I need to know why my pictures are distorted when I bring them in.

I have brought in various pictures that have been scanned in to build a montage from. Some of the pictures are compressing to fit into the frame. Is there a way to show the picture as is? Basically I need to be able to import pictures that have been scanned in from wallet size to 8x10 and use them in the montage.

Any advice and guidance would be greatly appreciated!

There should be an option to tick that says something like 'constrain proportions' or "keep original size" or something. It's in the moving path options. It makes the photo whatever size/proportions you want.
You could always apply a stationary moving path, and then resize to whatever you want.
