VS8 Crashes when attempting to create additional video

VS8 Crashes when attempting to create additional video..

Once I make a DVD/mpg and attempt a new project, VS8 crashes

3G proc, 1G RAM 533M, pc not problem

What would cause?

so exactly how do you attempt to create a new project after burning a DVD. We can't see you computer I'm afraid, what do you do, how do you do it , what procedure have you adopted, do you get any error messages etc. - have you tried just closing down UVS after burning a disc and then a few minutes later re-start UVS and then create a new project

Bruning a DVD is not the issue currently. The problem comes after the following procedure..
Share>
Create video file> NTSC DVD>
save> (MPG video created and saved)
File> Save as> (save current project)
File> New project>
Add images for new slide show> ---crash (program exits without error)

Have you tried applying the UVS V8.01 patch and the Daylight Saving Time patch?

I have applied all patches that apply. When I select new project after making a mpeg slide show of jpg pics, VS8 crashes. Definitely a VS8 Ulead software problem.

hey..i have the same problem..crashing at attempt to create new video file...

problem appears after i up/graded to xp sp2...and it maybe kernel.dll related...any fixes?
