hello,
I have to do a presentation from 25-30 pictures. When they took the pictures it was the highest resolution possible, so there about 36 by 24 inches, and anywhere from 800kb to 1.5 megs.
Is there a way to select all the pictures and resize them to about 4x6 inches, so I can use them in Video Studio 9, and not have a humungous file?
thanks
Bruce
I have PI10
Resizing multiple pictures. Can it be done, all at once?

Hi, that worked, learn something new everyday. Not sure if it was necessary to create a new file, unless you need to do that to create a new task?
But that worked fine. I think I can use that to do a few other things I need to do

Great!
The blank image was just a precaution, I did not want to be responsible for a damaged image, just in case I fell asleep at the wheel.
I like the Batch Task and process images as large as you do and it is a life saver when I have to do hundreds of images at once. Days take minutes. I have been able to process images for art work that may have as many as 100 actions in the Task with great success.

batched images
Thanks again.
I just have to play around more with that part of the program. I have to see if the photo's are diferent sizes if it will adjust them accordingly or make them all the same size by stretching them. But something new to delve into. What I do is make two folders with the same pictures, this allows me to make the mistakes that normallly happen. One thing I have to remember on the main photo's is to make them read only.

Batch comman, edit it, so it stays
I want to modify the selected task. In this case resizing pictures.
I open the quick command panel, select the task ( I call resize)
Click on modify the task.
Click on the properties for resize.
Resolution is set user defined at 72. I would like to increse this to 100 or at least 96 to get a better quality when the picture is reduced.
I can change it, but when I come back to check it, it reverts back to 72 inchess. I change the user defined to display, and that doesn't seem to work?
Tried adding a new task, but seems to still come back to 72.
thanks Bruce

anyway to have the task know from 4x6 vert, or horz?
Thanks I just had to record an additional task of resolution to the resizing. I think they have to be done separately rather than together.
I have some photo's that are 6 h x 4w and others 4h x 6w. Any way to trick the program into realizing or adjust according ?
thanks bruce
