So I am striking out on what I need or want and what I think I need or want.
I have searched the site with no luck, I am not sure what the terms are.
(Well I guess that made alot of sense)
Anyway, we have all seen on TV the split screens of filming a movie, one side shows raw footage, the other shows the finished product.
The finished product always looks great, a little darker, softer edges, more pleasing to the eye.
So my question is, is there a way in MSP to apply a "cinema filter" to get that
finished movie look?
Thanks,
Kevin

Cinema Movie Filters??
There are a few different options. My camera (Sony HVR-A1P) has cinema shoot mode, in which it slows down the frame rate slightly (24) and softens the colour tone. You could replicate this in MSP8 by making your own custom filter for the colour change. I have a plugin for Premiere Pro2 that has this cinema effect. It's never as pronounced as what you describe when you see the "big" guys do it. I think this is mostly because the 'raw' is shot on video and the finished product is shot on film.
Have a go with adjusting the colour levels and balances.
Cheers,
