Amplify sound
My recorded video's sound is too soft and it's hardly audible. Anyone knows how to amplify the sound? I tried using the amplifying tool but can't filter out the noise. Anyone who can help? Thanks!

The volume of the sound in your video can be increased by a factor of 5 if you use the volume control up in the top left corner of the edit screen, is that not enough ?? - As you will notice though increasing volume means increasing all sound on the video , including unwanted noise, there is a 'remove noise' audio filter available under the audio tab but I don't think that will remove all noise from an amplified track. You may have some success using a specialised sound editing programme but I doubt you will get full satisfaction in UVS alone.

I have done just this. I recently invested in a zoom mic for my Sony camcorder. It clips onto the intelligent hotshoe of the camera, and I don't know how, but when you zoom on a subject, it seems as if the mike is zooming in as well. Rather nice.
I have to say that there is still a little noise from the motor - not a lot, and less than the inbuilt mike. I suspect it's slightly less sensitive to wind noise (it has a foam cover) but I haven't tested it much, and it's not a real "news quality" unit. The only way to really eliminate noise would be to go "professional" and have a true separate mike, connected by cable and covered with the lambswool sock.(and have someone holding the boom for you
