I have touched on this topic previously, but was hoping someone may be able to offer more information.
I have just finshed editing a 2 hour wedding (cut from 10 hours of footage!) and when creating the chapter menu, I want the chapter to start from a specific point, but show the image on the thumbnail from a point further into the chapter.
When I do this, as a still thumbnail, there is no problem and the image displays correctly in the thumbnail, but if i select 'motion menu' - the thumbnail picture in the share screen remains, but when I move to the test screen, the motion thumbnails commence from the actual chapter start - not from the point further into the chapter that I marked.
Is this a common problem - or, do motion menus only work from the actual start of each chapter, and therefore if i want to display an image from further into the chapter, i must use a still thumbnail? Most of my chapters begin with a black screen, so if i use motion thumbnails, the first 3 or 4 seconds of every thumbnail is black. Seems a shame when the rest of the program is top-class!
One other (less relevant) thing - when i burn a project to DVD and play it in my PC - there is no audio, yet in a DVD player there is audio. Normally this would mean there is no audio connection from the DVD-RW to the motherboard, but the cable is there and when i insert an Audio Cd, the audio is as normal. Can anyone shed any light on this one?
Motion Thumbnails - help please.
