How to create very simple menus

I have just created my first DVD using Video Studio and I am pretty pleased.

However I found that the menu production process was somewhat less that intuative.

I have a simple question that I think will establish if I have missed something.

Is it possible to create a simple menu without thumbnails for the chapters - just text - in fact rather like most commercial DVD's.

Hope you can give me a pointer.

Hi Richard, welcome to the forums..

With VS9 there is not an option to create Text only menus. However that will be possible with VS10 Plus...

OK - that's what I wanted to know but not what I wanted to hear.

Does one of the other Ul;ead products do this?

Currently I think that MF5 and WS2 are the only ones that do.

Do you have PhotoImpact? If so you can create a menu of your own from scratch - including a text only menu.

I haven't tried creating text only menus using your tutorial, so I didn't know if you could, or VS would need the thumbnails....
