Transparent Icons w/PI8 or 10?

I can't seem to create transparent icons with PI8, is it possible? If not is it possible with PI10?

Sorry I meant transparent backgrounds, like on a gif. If I use a transparent background it doesn't remain transparent when I save it as a .ico . It places it on a white background.

I see what you mean, I've just tried and the options to set the transparent colour on save that you have for gifs and jpegs aren't there.

Which seems a bit mad really.

Could you work round it by setting the transparent colour in the application you are using them in? Not very satisfactory though.

No, guess I'll use a regular icon app..... The only work around I can see is simply using the entire canvas which isn't what I want. Besides I've done a little research and standard XP ico files actually contain 3 different size icons X 3 different color palletes for a total of 9 in a single file. The app I came across is a gif animator, you insert the different icons in a specific order into 9 seperate frames and export as ico. I'm using Ulead's Gif Animator 5.05 which won't do this as far as I can see. Anybody know if it's possible or if there's newer version with this feature?

y need finished all draw and colorus vary but all deaw need convert in objects!!! and "ctrl+F5" (for active transparent background) and click file, save as.., save format PNG, so PNG will automatic background trasperant okay?
but see well save as and click options and mask options and there are more different preference and y can see what you choose like.. okay[/img]
