Does Photo Explorer 8.5 autostart work correctly with XP

Post by Samc »

I use and love the patched version of Photo Explorer 8.0. XP pops up with the autostart associations list when I insert a Flash Disk. Photo Explorer is not listed. I cancel that dialog box and then use the Photo Explorer dialog box (i.e. I always get two dialog boxes and I can't stop the XP version). This is confuses other users.
Will buying 8.5 fix this?
Is there a Ulead web page that shows what was fixed between each version?

Steve,

I have not found any way to make Photo Explorer (8.5) auto open when inserting a memory card into my usb card reader. TweakUI is of no help there either.

To auto start for card reader, you need Ulead AutoDetector which comes with Ulead PhotoExplorer. Try "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ulead Systems\AutoDetector\Monitor.exe" and you will see Ulead AutoDetector show up in the system tray.

Hope this helps.

Yes, that did help. I found it at Start Menu-->Program Files-->Ulead Systems-->Ulead Autodetector. Now it's in the system tray and does work.

Thanks
