Installing Gif Animator trial

I receive the following error when trying to install the trial. (UGA5TBYB_E_USG)
The installshield engine (ikernal.exe) could not be launched.

The RPC server is unavailable.

I have XP with SP2 installed. Any suggestions?

Had to enable dcom plus start several services just to get it to install. Now, softwrap won't let me start the trial because my hard drive isn't named C:

LOL, yeah, I give up!
