Anti-flickering filter

Post by Brasil »

Using Videostudio 9, I’m converting my VHS movies to MPEG2 and burning DVD after it .
I have a doubt. Should I check the “apply anti-flickering filter ” in create video file options (MPEG 2)?
My movies don't have menus .

Thanks.

Afaik the anti flickering filter works on still images in particular the menus.

I leave all settings as default unless I have a problem.

You say (in create video file options (MPEG 2)?)

If you want a compatible Dvd then select Pal or Ntsc/DVD not Mpeg 2

The Mpeg 2 template is designed for web based viewing not Dvd.

Hi Trevor!
I didn’t understand the word “Afaik”.
If I understand what you said I should not check the “apply anti-flickering filter ” option OK?
One more question: In “create video file” should I use 4:3 or 16:9 option?
Thank you very much for your answers and tips, and sorry for my english.

AFAIK = As Far As I Know

16:9 is wide screen
4:3 is what you normally see on your television
