Problems with burning dvd in Fat32
Hello. I have a problem with burning dvd video. Looks like programm attempts to create one image file with dvd disk size and it shows me an error windows specifying that file is too big (my project is 4.4 of 4.7 GB).
Is it possible to make MF4 create several image files with less than 4GB size?

Tried to do as you said, but burning did not start again.GeorgeW wrote:Instead of creating an IMAGE file (*.iso), you can have the program create the DVD Folders to your hard drive. You then have to burn from the DVD Folders...

I'll try to describe the problem clearly. I created a project in Ulead MovieFactory 4.04 with size 4.38 (4.7) GB. The size of original movie file (.avi) is ~2.2 GB. When I press the burn button the programme opens a warning window with "The size of the converted file exceeds the file system limit... (4355)". What's wrong?

Is MF4 re-coding the file? Do you see a little blue x on the top right hand corner of the thumbnail? MF4 may be re-coding the file in which case it may grow beyond your file limit. If you do, then delete the thumbnail and re-import it. Then don't edit the video. Just create the chapters and burn to video folders. Don't forget to uncheck the other burn options.
Hope this helps
PS: If you plan to do a lot of video editing, you may want to upgrade your file system to NTFS.

Suggestion
I had a similar issue trying to burn an .AVI video to DVD, although the error I recieved was not one of exeding size limit.
It was indicating a failure to convert. You may want to try creating your video into Mpeg 2 format. That worked for me and performed much faster. The video gets converted to Mpeg2 format anyways since thats what the DVD uses, you won't be loosing any quality. For some reason MF4 seems to have issues with the conversion of .AVI files prior to burn, as I have seen many other similar complaints.

Hi,
I don't know the codec for the .avi file your using but it sounds like it's close to Xvid/Divx or Mpeg4.
If you take the Length in TIME of the video and set the bit-rate to the correct value & use dolby audio will work.
If the movie is equal to or less then 2 hrs then a video bit rate of 4000kbs with dolby or mpeg audio with work. With room to spare.

There is a list of suggested MPEG settings here:

But I would like to ask you 1 more question. Which file system is better in overall? Fat32 or NTFS?

For video editing, NTFS. It does not impose the 4gig file limit.
