DVD Movie Factory 5 - TRAP ON INSTALL

Post by dblml320 »

Hello,

I bought the ESD version of DVDMF5, and during the install it trapped twice on my machine.

Anyone else seeing this? My machine is rock stable, it is a new HP AMS dual core with 1 GB of memory. :?:

I had two error messages whilst installing and so chose the ignore option and it continued with the installation. Everything appears to work OK.

I re-downloaded the two files (Program and extra content).
the first time I used "Getright" download Manager.
the second time I used the "Element 5 download Manager"

I tried a repair option from the second download (saved in a different place to the first) and again had the same error messages.

One of the error messages related toa PDF file. Upon checking after completing the installation, the PDF file was present and correct and opened OK. all I remember of the other error was something to do with CAB2 but upon inspection of the extracted setup files there was more than 1.

I ran out of time to persue the matter any further but as mentioned above, everything seems to be working OK. No doubt at some time in the future something will rear its ugly head!!

Hi Steve,

I had an additional problem trying to capture some MPEG footage from a DVD in VS9. So I removed DVDMF4 and VS9, ran a registry clean, and then reinstalled DVDMF5 and VS9. This time all install went without a problem.

I will append again if I find an additional problem down the line.
