Another "is not accessible" question - this time N

Post by DavidGreensmith »

I am having problems importing some files into ULEAD Videostudio. I have checked through the forum and seen a few posts that suggest the required codec might be missing - most of these relate to DivX.
I can play the video from within Windows Media player, but can't open in ULEAD or Windows Movie Maker. ULEAD gives me the unhelpful "file xxx is inaccessible" - Movie Make tries to download something but then tells me the required codec isn't loaded (odd, since the file plays perfectly well inside Windows media player).

From within VideoStudio, I can see that the video compression type is "Nero Video Decoder" when I look at the "info" button.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I might bwe able to load a Nero-compatible codec for ULEAD?

Thanks,

David

The codec only allows to be read/played by a player but does not allow to be edited in editing/authoring programs. That's why it's been called an decoder.

Hope this helps.
