First of all great board, has solved a lot of my VideoStudio and PictureShow questions just by using search.
I'm hoping to get some advice from users on their advice on my next video project.
Issue: I want to use the 16:9 aspect ratio for the project, and want to use photos in the project, and want to ability to pan/zoom, but want to maintain consistency in the project.
Question: I have PhotoShop and have read the articles on creating black border, but will I still have the ability to pan/zoom and have a good continous flow to the project when I bring in my 16:9 DV?
Thanks in advice to the community for giving their advice before I start this big project.

Hi
Non square pixel rendering is used to change the 720 x 576/480 video frame to 16:9 aspect.
Images use square pixels, if you use photoshop to re-size / crop your images to 1024 x 567 should / will fit to your 16:9 screen fully. I am in Pal country but the same size should do for Ntsc (I think)
Note:-
If you change the background colour from black to say Yellow-- File – Preferences you will be able to identify the 16:9 preview frame. Any black you now see is the unused portion of the preview screen.
After inserting an image, if you see a coloured border then your images is not full 16:9 size.
I do not think there will be any problems using ‘Pan and Zoom’
