When you said earlier that VS10+ will support Windows MCE, do you mean that it will be able to directly import/edit dvr-ms files that MCE records? I hope the answer is yes. Several other products already do it, like Intervideo WinDVD creator. But they don't match the power and useablility of VS.

Yes it will...:)

I dont have a widescreen monitor either but I think you will find that Video/Studio will accept any resolution privided the minimum width is 1024 and the minimum height is 768. The Original Post on this issue described a height of 720

Those that run below 1024 x 768 are now a small bunch and are in the process of being tossed aside. Right or wrong, websites are now migrating to this resolution and abondoning support for 800x600. Many applications are doing the same. I run a few applications that would be impossible to run at anything below 1024 x 768 and even that would be a challenge in a few. Plus, native resolutions in LCD monitors are much higher unless you are buying a 15".
Now using Adobe Premiere and Photoshop

I have a 16:10 wide-screen notebook, the resolution is 1280x800.

UVS 10 supports wide-screen monitor, I can confirm that.

Hope this helps.

I am very, very upset. I just bought VS 9. Had I realized a new version was that close you can bet I would have waited two weeks.

To add insult to injury I was billed in the uro currency. That put the price at $164.36 Canadian compared to $116 Canadian had it been billed in U.S. dollars.

I have a program called ProShow Gold put out by Photodex and you can upgrade for free with them up until a year.

They are going to hear from me.

In fairness Ron started this thread off on Friday 17 March which is over a Month ago. It has also been mentioned in several other threads including every single post that I have made as it forms part of my signature where I am doing my best to advertise the current Ulead competition where you can win a copy.

Thank you Steve,

I started posting about it, having this type of issue in mind. Hoping that people would see that a newer version is just around the corner, and would save them some money. I even included hints in a couple of posts, refering to downloading the free 30 day trial of VS 9. Yes I knew that either in April or May VS10 would be released, but due to the NDA (non-disclosure agreement) I was prohibited from disclosing that...

Does anyone know or estimate when the full box version of video Studio 10 Plus will be available ?. I usually end up screwing up my computer ( by changing this and that ) and messing up or corrupting my video editing programs. It is a lot easier to have a CD version of the program so I can reload or repair it.

Next question..what are the basic feature differences between
Video Studio 10 and Video Studio 10 plus ?

Hi,

According to Ulead's Press Release http://www.ulead.com.tw/ulead/UDNews/pr ... leases.htm it is suppose to be on the shelves by the end of April. So that leaves about 10 days...?

The difference ie; a comparison can be found here:

It is a lot easier to have a CD version of the program so I can reload or repair it.
Save Download Time: If you are ordering a download version of VideoStudio and are concerned about download times, you can also order a backup "CD on Demand" during the checkout process. The CD will help you save download time and will provide a permanent backup. The CD must be purchased at the same time the program is purchased. It is sent via postal mail.
