Adding more menus...

Post by Makaze »

(Hi, I accidentally posted this message in the DVD Workshop forum instead of this one, so I'm posting it in the correct forum this time...)

Hello, I'm currently trying to make a DVD all about my highschool years, and I was wondering if there was a way to make more than one "menu", so to speak.

What I'm trying to do is, have a few thumbnails that lead to different things such as videos or slideshows, but is there a way to have a thumbnail link to another menu? I want to make a thumbnail that says "Random Videos", and when it is clicked, it will bring up a new menu with clickable thumbnails of all of my random videos that I want on there.

At the top of the Ulead screen, it says Currently Displayed Menu: Main Menu. That is what makes me think I can create another menu, but the drop-down box where it says Main Menu is grey and not clickable.

Can anyone help me out?
Thank you.

DVDMF provides a simple 2 level Menu structure.

Your individual clips on the timeline become the main menu items (titles).

In order to have the second level of menus your clips must have chapter points defined in them. The chapter points become the items in the sub-menu.

If you want a main menu item, Random Videos, and access to the individual items on a sub-menu, you will have to join the individual videos into one Random Videos clip, and then set chapter points at the start point of each of the videos.

I believe that other Ulead products such as DVD Workshop provide more flexibility with regard to menus.
