Adding more "menus" to my DVD

Post by Makaze »

Hello, I'm currently trying to make a DVD all about my highschool years, and I was wondering if there was a way to make more than one "menu", so to speak.

What I'm trying to do is, have a few thumbnails that lead to different things such as videos or slideshows, but is there a way to have a thumbnail link to another menu? I want to make a thumbnail that says "Random Videos", and when it is clicked, it will bring up a new menu with clickable thumbnails of all of my random videos that I want on there.

At the top of the Ulead screen, it says Currently Displayed Menu: Main Menu. That is what makes me think I can create another menu, but the drop-down box where it says Main Menu is grey and not clickable.

Can anyone help me out?
Thank you.

Just create more menus (3 small buttons just above the timeline and below the preview screen.). They will all appear as thumbnails along the bottom of the screen. then on your "Main Menu" you drag each thumbnail up onto whatever it is you want to be a link such as some text or a menuframe.

You can just drag the thumbnail up into a blank area of the screen and it will create a thumbnail for you.
Alternatively use the Menu wizard and select one of the templates.

Hmm...I don't see those little buttons anywhere. :(
Actually, I think I accidentally posted this topic in the wrong forum... I'm using Ulead DVD MovieFactory, and I posted this message in DVD Workshop. Maybe that's the problem. Can you tell me how to create more menus using the DVD MovieFactory, or should I just move this topic to the other forum?

I don't think that can be done with Movie Factory, or if it can it will be complicated and possibly involve merging your "random Videos" into one then splitting it up into chapters. Problem with that method is that once you select a chapter it will keep playing from that point on until the end of the merged videos.

Your best alternative is to use the 30 day free trial of Workshop 2

Who knows, you might end up buying it!
