I have an audio training on tape - want to put it on a CD???

Post by HowardW »

I have all of the Ulead products and I run on Windows XP. I have a sales training that I have on tape. Is there a Ulead prduct that will allow me to put it on a CD in 4 different tracks (where each track has a separate subject matter)? I would like the ability to click on the forward button or skip button on my CD player and go from track 3 to 4 for example - like you can on a regular audio CD.

Which Ulead product and please email the hyperlink for the relavant training link. thanksGreat products.

I don't think that type of thing is Ulead's forte however I haven't fully investigated every capability of their software. There may be some workarounds. If you happen to have a suite program like Roxio EMC 8 you would plug your audio source into your sound card's line or aux input and then record the audio (in real-time) to your hard drive in wav or mp3 using the audio capture utility. You would then open the file in the audio mixer, split (i.e.; divide) your track as needed, and burn the resulting individual files to a CD-R in the proper sequence. There are other programs that can do all of this. Roxio is just one example.

Movie Factory will allow you to put each track, if it can be captured as a separate clip, in a different chapter. From the menu you can then select which chapter to play and the chapter forward or return will allow you to jump to different chapters without the menu too. It all depends on the source material and how you set it up.

I would download the trial version and see how it goes.
