Hey there,
When using PhotoImpact to design a site, the easiest thing to impliment features such as scripts, text search boxes etc is to export the HTML and images into a folder, and add any code or extras you need after that. So if you do require a search box, a 3rd party WYSIWYG editor may help.

If you intend on creating dynamic web pages, PI is not the best editor. I was never thrilled with PI for editing and creating web pages at all, including static pages, to be quite honest.TriniStreetScene.com wrote:also when i open up the generated html file with dreamweaver the cells are misalinged ... they look choppy realy bad
Create all of your tables, nested tables, cells etc. in a WYSIWYG app. Create your images in PI and import the images to the WYSIWYG.

I think in the long run it is less work. If you take a look at the time you save by going into the code and tweaking it, it is beneficial in the long run. You also have more control over the code and it is a lot neater and easier to read. This is good for updates, modifications, etc.TriniStreetScene.com wrote:Thanks legend.
It seems that is the best way, more work tho, just what iwas trying to avoid.. i guess having a good webpage has it's price

I used to do the same thing. Now I make a "layout" in PI. I then take the size of the layout and make a web page with a table corresponding to the size of the layout. You can clize the cells in PI, then adjust your table rows accordingly. Finally just add the PI images and you are set. You can either hardcode them or call them.TriniStreetScene.com wrote:the thing is when i design in PI it looks great, if i just do the images and build a page from scratch in Frontpage it does'nt look as good as the onei created in PI. It's Clear that PI has problems with brosewer compatability.
