Deleting clips from the library
When you have burnt your entire project to dvd, is there a quick way of deleting all the clips from the video library?

Yes there is - but be aware that the 'clips' in the library are only thumbnail icons pointing to the actual video file stored somewhere else on your hard drive.
So first select all the icons by clicking on the first one then holding down 'shift' as you select the last (standard windows multi select procedure)
Now if you only want to delete the thumbnails hit the delete key on your keyboard and say yes to the prompt.
but if you want to delete the video files as well then after selection hold down the 'shift' key as you hit the delete key - say yes to the first prompt and 'yes to all' at the second prompt.

While that might help, I think that where this Video forum is located (General) and the Subtitle "discuss anything about video, codecs..." should be clear enough if people would actually read it.BrianCee wrote:Once again this 'Video' forum causing confusion - it needs more specific titling
When they added this part I though it was great, separating the specific product forums, to have discussions about video editing in general. This is where any tips, tricks, and "I filmed my dog jumping over the house", type of discussions should be taking place...

I think the problem is caused by the order of the subjects.
The General Section should appear below the Specific Products and not above.
Although clearly labelled as Ron has pointed out, we are veterans of this board and so see things more clearly. A new visitor to the forum though is perhaps blinded by the screen and only notices the headings.
It is due to this so called "Screen blindness" that it is one of the factors which brought about Health and Safety Regulations in the UK impose VDU operators to take statutory breaks away from the VDU which can be either 5 minutes every hour or 10 minutes every 2 hours. The other is to stop your eyes from deteriorating due to persistant close up reading.
