losing signal

I am tring to capture a VCR tape to the hard drive through a DV camera. I am losing the signal at periodic intervals. Turns white, then the DV camera screen flickers and goes blue. It works for 5-10 minutes then stops. I press stop on the vcr then play and it works again. Below are the capture settings I am using

NTSC drop frame (29.97 fps)
Microsoft AVI files
24 Bits, 720 x 480, 29.97 fps
Lower Field First
Uncompressed
PCM, 44.100 kHz, 16 Bit, Stereo

Your PC can't keep up with the amount of information it's receiving and is unable to accept it all - please select DV Encoder Type 1 and try again
