? no dvd fomat in capture mode

hello i got videostudio7, 3 days ago and i have no
'dvd' fomat in capture mode i have dv. mpeg . vcd . avi . wmv, no dvd and in the help file there is one, i would like to know if some one would have an answer to my problem ! thx

You cannot capture to DVD.

Depending on your capture/playback device and connection, you can do the preferred method, capture to DV-AVI (best for editing) or, if your PC is up to it, capture to mpeg2.

The mpeg2 file is what gets authored to DVD in the "Share" mode of VS.

Well thats strange Heinz-oz - because if I capture via firewire in V9 I have the DVD option in my capture format choices, perhaps there are different options around the world ?

Your option of DVD will capture to DVD compliant mpeg2, not actually to DVD

The OP has version 7 though, not even sure if that is the DVD version or if he/she requires a DVD plug-in.

I try to keep it simple initially, if I'm not sure how much the person knows about the whole thing.
