Dear All,
I have:
- WindowsXP
- Unlead VideoStudio 9
- ADS Instant DVD+MP3 (capture device)
- Panasonic VX27 camrecoder format : PAL-B (europe) 720x576
I want to use VS9 to capture video directly from the ADS device which is connected to my camera. (Note that if I use the capture program that ADS provides I can succesfully record PAL-B 720x576)
The problem is when I want to use VS9, in the CAPTURE tab, at the Options-> capture Properties I can not choose PAL at a resolution of 720x576 ...
Here are the resolutions that it sees:
-720x480
-704x480
-352x480
-352x240
MY QUESTION:
How do I select 720x576
I tried to record with 720x480, but unfortunatelly the image is distorted...
Please also note that the project properties are:
______________________________________
PAL (25 fps)
MPEG files
24 Bits, 720 x 576, 25 fps
Lower Field First
(DVD-PAL), 4:3
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 8000 kbps)
LPCM Audio, 48000 Hz, Stereo

Thank you very much for your answer.
Regards,
Vio

When you are in the CAPTURE step, there's a little GEAR icon (for options). Click that to see what your setting are for tv standard. You want it to be set to PAL (in case you are seeing NTSC in there).
I looked at a VS9 manual, and it's on page 56 (not sure if you have the same manual).

George

Dear George,
I have the same manual. I already set-up the PAL option there. The funny thing is that after I set the PAL mode, and I click OK, then the next time I open again the "Video and Audio capture property settings" the "TV system" somehow is again NTSC. .... I repeted several times the same step, and no luck, each time it "resets" itself the NTSC ...
