Post by sodium1 »

hi there, i am really struggling to get my tv card to be recognised by MF4...i just cannot get a picture, i have tried all different settings and i just cannot get the dam thing to record anything. the nova-t card works fine as a stand alone product and i can record to my hard drive with no problems, it exports in MPEG2 format and i really want to burn directly to disc, but i cannot get a picture through MF4...any ideas anyone ??? :(

According the Hauppauge website your Nova-T works with WinTV2000.
I suggest you follow the steps in my tutorial for recording via that software as it has more settings available to you than the Ulead product.

Once you have your footage in your computer then use MovieFactory to produce your DVD.

It might be worth taking a look at the Hauppauge user forum

At one time Ulead UK had a dvb-t pugin listed on their website, I can't seem to find it at the moment.

Maybe one of the folks out there in PAL land knows where to get the plugin.

This link mentions where to find the plug in but sorry still couldn't spot it.
http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic. ... light=dvbt

The following suggests to me that it isn't a plug in but is in fact built in
http://www.ulead.com/dmf/new.htm

Sorry couldn't be more help but ran out of places to search.

ok, so i have managed to record directly to dvd...firstly i selected the recording format ( i chose dvd-video )..secondly i get the message saying that there is so much space on the disc, and i click yes to continue. then the direct to disc starts. i leave it for approx 2 mins as a sample burn, then i go to play it back and it seems to stall my pc !!! i have explored the burnt disc and it contains 5 files...2xvideo ts files and 3xvts files...one of the vts files is a dvd movie file at 89,670kb, i can open and play this with power dvd, but this seems wrong...why does it not open and play like a normal dvd ???? p.s the disc is in udf format, is this correct ???
