(1) Choose what format you wish to work in - many here use mpeg2; I personally prefer DV.
(2) Load all the videos in so that they appear in the timeline. Check the Project Properties at this point - make sure that they match the video properties and are what you want.
(3) Review if you wish by playing the Project.
(4) Select SHARE - CREATE VIDEO FILE. Probably best to select Same as Project Properties. Give it a name.
The computer will copy all the data from the 10 videos and make one big one for you.

Ron described the correct procedure, so if it isn't working for you, you are probably doing something wrong somewhere, or have a problem with some of the software on your system, and you aren't providing any details about either of those.
One bit of information that may help is to NOT use the Preview in UVS to judge final output quality. If this is the playback that isn't smooth, ignore it -- just render to a new video file in whatever format you desire, and view it using an external media player like Windows Media Player.

Wow, somebody isn't paying attention. When you go to create the output video file, you can choose the format...t-maxxguy9848 wrote:Ok well i know how to do everything he said but the first thing choosing my format. How do you do so?
You may also want to download the manual for UVS in PDF form, you can get it here.

So how did you hit Play on the video file??t-maxxguy9848 wrote:ok thanks but when i did that and everything is done with i hit play on the video and it just like does nothing. sometimes it skips a little but thats all. any suggestions? Yeah i just tryed it again it doesnt play so please can anyone help me?!
If you have followed the instructions you will have created a new file. The type of file will be avi or mpeg, depending on what you chose at the Share step (see THoff's post..)
To view this new file you can:
(1) Clear the timeline of VS8 (ie, start a new project) and drag this file to the timeline. Review the file by Playing the clip.
(2) Open up a media player (eg Windows Media Player), navigate to where this file is, and ask WMP to play it for you.
If all else fails, right-click on the file and select Properties - report back.
