hi,
1 st question: i created a 3D object with video texture, if export as 3DS and re-import immediatly, the texture animation (video) works but if close and re-open Cool 3D and import the object the texture is not animated. Why this ? and if i resize or move the texture it seems that these parameters are lost during export because if i re-import the texture is not at the same place (apply mesh plugins is on)
2 nd thing : precision & quality settings are lost during 3DS exportation, when i re-import the oject quality is lower.
Something i do wrong or little bug ?
Thanks in advance.

About 3D object ?
Vincent,
In this tutorial I wrote, I cover this.

That should answer your first question. For question 2, I have not experienced this this. Maybe you are working in Draft mode?

There are 2 types of objects in C3DPS, C3D and D3D. Only C3D objects can have the Precision and Quality setting.
When you export 3DS or DirectX files in COOL 3D, it will export the current mesh structure of the selected object.
Hope this helps.

Htchien thanks, your are alway here to help us.
Rwernyei, thanks for the tutorial.
If i use a video as texture for a 3D objects the program stores only ONE frame as texture so texture can't be animated using all frames of the video, i saw in 3d folder that program generates BMP file used for the texture (i think) , but what i can't understand is why when i export a 3d object with video texture and re-import it without quit the project the texture is animated (the video run!!) ?.
Htchien, is it concevable that D3D have the precision settings in a Cool 3D future version or do you think it is impossible for some reasons ?
Thanks

It might because you have imported the 3DS file as a C3D object. When you import a 3DS or DirectX file as a C3D object, the mesh will be loaded from the 3DS/DirectX file but object attributes will be inherited from the selected object in the project. If you load the 3DS/DirectX file as a D3D object, then object attributes will be loaded from the file also (which will be a still image texture).
For the D3D Precision question, I think it's by deisgn.
Hope this helps.
