hi

all the dvd that i made using WS are too big (5-9gb) to save it on a 4,7dvd. i did select the long play option that wat i get.

is there a way tat i can shrink the file uisng a softher without loosing the quality???

When you choose a template these are ready made settings and can be used as a guide for you to tweak a bit further.

I have made DVD's with 4 hours worth of video on them using a bit rate of 2000 but I wouldnt go any lower. I would split the production in two if using a bit rate of 2000 was still to big.

It is also better to use Dolby (AC3) audio as this sound format produces smaller files though retaining good quality leaving that little bit of extra room for video.

What is the play time of your project and what is the type of your input files? If possible, for best quality from, say, a DV source, keep your projects down to about 90 minutes. For a VHS source, you won't start losing quality until about 120-135 minutes. Aim for 4.0-4.1 Gb of file size for best results.
