Software Conflict? I'm new and could use some HELP...
I first installed the software that was included with the Digital Camcorder I purchased, (ULead 7.0 and a CD with Direct X and 2 Samsung Video Driver's). After installation, I tried to capture my video, but as soon as I plugged my camcorder in, Sonic MY DVD came up and tried to load. Sonic was installed when my PC was purchased. I figured that there was a conflict so I tried to delete Sonic. Now...Sonic is partially deleted, I can't find where the rest is hiding. When I try to capture with ULead, I get an error stating that there is no device connected. But there really is! PLEASE HELP...
First of all how is your camera connected to your computer, firewire or usb or analoge?
If you open VS7 and go to the capture mode and turn on your camera, you should get a popup box saying you have a new device, would you like to use it. Answer yes.
If you don't get the popup your camera is not installed correctly.

Looks like you are running out of options where to post your question
We know nothing about your system, how can we help? Guess at what you have/not have, done/not done? Not likely.
If you want help, you will surely get it but you need to help us as well.
For starters, you stated you deleted Sonic, but not completely. Great, what do you mean by that? Did you properly uninstall the program or did you just delete the installation folder from your HDD?
Try to be more precise.

Problem Solved?
Thanks so much Ty for your CONSTRUCTIVE help. I have been attempting to capture my video with a USB cord and not the IEEE 1394 Card that I have been told that I need. Unfortunatley I am not very "Saavy" at PC usage or lingo, so I am just trying to wing this! It seems that other's get a little testy if you are not a PRO. Really Heinz...There are still beginner's.
