Did you install the PI 11 patch? You can get it here http://www.ulead.com/tech/pi/pi_ftp.htm

Yes I have installed the patch. The only thing I cannot seem to retrieve back is the normal comand bar. It is just gone.

On the Command Menu item named My WorkSpace, select Customize…

On the Customize Dialog box, select the Tab named Toolbars. Under the Attributes named Toolbars: Make sure all of the Toolbars listed have a check mark in each box, otherwise they will not display.

If this does not work, try switching to another WorkSpace, such as Advanced and then back to the WorkSpace you normally use.

If neither work then your Ulead Installation is damaged.

Try also to delete the file:
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Ulead Systems\Ulead PhotoImpact\10.0\profiles\current.xum

I hope i got the path right, if not just search for 'current.xum' in your profile.

There are no shortcut keys that restore Command Menu, and no Factory Restore Menus feature.

Palettes float and dock using the F6 key in Preferences that toggle on and off the Palettes, but not the Main Menus. Unfortunately, there is no way to restore the Command Menu. If you also delete the xum and cfg files Ulead will not restore them unless you reinstall the software.

My suggestion would be to uninstall Ulead, delete all of the Ulead folders remaining in both locations and reinstall.

Ulead rewrote PI11 From the ground up and so has to do a little clean-up work, and that will take a little time. I would suggest you write Tech Support, explain your situation.

WOW, are you sure about this? I mean creating PI11 from scratch.

I had the same problem, with the missing menu bar. ( all of them to start with )

I found the above folder, and deleted everything in it. Reopened PI and it worked - it was back again.

So a BIG thank you to Xyzzy2 !!!
