I had a parent ask if there was a way to highlight his son on a HS football team. He wants me to make a tape to send to collage's. I would assume you would darken everything else somewhat, but the player. This seems like it would be very time consuming using a filter trying to keep the single player highlighted whilst moving about. If he's a lineman it wouldn't be as bad I guess. I've just recently switched to MSP8, from VS8, so I'm not real sure what it can do.
Does anyone know if this is possible to do?
Thanks,
Tim

Hi tavideos,
Yes it is possible. You can find a tutorial here:
http://www.jushhome.com/nick/Tutorial/MSPMarker.asp. He states that you can use Video Paint or CG Infinity, which are Video Graphics Lab now, to create the mask. However I think that you could probably use any grapics program to make it.

George, I like your idea but I need a few details. Are you referring to the "Star" in the "Overlay-Image Mask" section? If so, how do you resize the "Star" so it doesn't cover other people in the video?GeorgeW wrote:Sometimes I just use the STAR filter. I re-size the star, then make sure the start and end have the same properties. Then I advance the clip a bit, then move the star, repeat until end of clip. It's a quick method, and not as nice as the other methods, but it gets the job done

George
