Triming Video problems in ulead photoexplorer 8.5

hi all-

i have the new sanyo hd1 camera that comes with photoexplorer8.5 and when i go to trim a scene out of a video using photoexplorer it will only play back in photoexplorer afterwards. it wont play on the camera anymore, it wont play in quick time etc etc etc.

what am i doing wrong or how can i fix this situation? any help provided would MUCH appreciated.
