problem with extracting

Post by challenger »

I have the videosudio 7 SE DVD, when ever I try to extract audio or video, it will extract the first 1.15 seconds and it won't let me make it any longer. Also when ever I try to play my movies as "projects" in plays at a very very slow pace, when I try and open the file the first time, it will tell me the imported file format is not suitable fora project template. Is there any way to change the format to fit the program? thanx

Extract video from what? A DVD? Where did the DVD come from? It's not a commercial copy-protected DVD, right?

A lot of users have reported trouble reading-in DVDs. I suspect that Video Studio is simply incompatible with some stand-alone DVD recorders.

You could try downloading the free trial version of Video Studio 9. The import feature is improved, but apparently, all of the problems haven't been solved. If VS9 works for you, it should be worth the $50 upgrade cost because you get other improvements too, including a Dolby AC3 encoder.

well I'm trying to take the audio from the video file and make it into an audio file. I figured I could do this by spliting the audio from this video, its a quicktime file, the extension trick didn't work for me
