Crash videostudio 9 “ uvsepa.dll ModVer: 8.0.0.0" hel

Post by saroga »

When using smartrender the program stops on 86 % and I get this error:

AppName: vstudio.exe AppVer: 9.0.0.0 ModName: uvsepa.dll
ModVer: 8.0.0.0 Offset: 00009511

Also I have installed it on another PC, same problem, is this a Bug?

I have also an error report with a lot of text about this error (if you wouldn’t mind I can also post it)

You should download and install the latest patches for VS9. My version is 9.01.1000, with the latest patches.

Which Video Studio do you have 8 or 9?

You say your crash is in VS9, however you list you are using VS8.

If you open VS9 and click on the ? and click on About Ulead Video Studio, you will see the current version, if is the patch dated 2005/8/12 you should have version 9.01.1000. If not just rerun the patch and see what you get.

Is your version a Try Before You Buy version?

The patch won't work with a trial version.

If you do infact have a full version then your problem is probably linked to a sound file. I had split my audio and added a music track and kept getting the uvsepa.dll error but not the other error you got. If you are trying to add audio and/or edit audio you might have to uncheck the smartrender and see if that works.

Hello,

Is not a trial version. When I disable smartrender, than it works, but to slow.

I'm not splitting the audio, just trim the mpg and save it.

When I use a small file, then smartrender works good, but this file is about 4 gb. Stops at 2.8 gb. (85%).

But why disable smartrender should normally work, that is why asking if this is a bug in the program.

U don’t have this problem when trimming al large file?

I've created large files before and didn't have any problems. My files were one hour of a captured TV show, there were five episodes that I trimmed the commercials from. After each trim I saved the file to an mpg and continued with the next, till I was done.
I then created a disk. All worked fine.

You might want to check the bitrate of your file, the file I had a problem with had a bit rate of 6500. The bitrate I usually use is 4400 and haven't had any problems. Maybe there is a bug in VS9 when it comes to higher bitrates. Although I've seen folks get good results with bitrates up to the max.

I have the download version.

I have all the latest updates and the MP4, Happauge, and the HDV plugin installed.

The Happauge plugin doesn't work but the HDV plugin does. It depends on when the plugin is installed as to which one works.

That is one of the problems I have other than the one I described before.

Thanks for U help, I hope that Ulead find a solution for the smartrender problem.

I turn smartrender of, it’s slow but at this moment this is the only solution.

Thanks again!!

It might just be the file you are working on, try it on another project and see if you have the same problem.

I have tried different projects and files and also installed this program on another PC (Pentium4) same problem.

I think the problem is within the program.
