Trial Version Limitations
I can view the recording from the RAM disc that I made in my older Hatachi camcorder using the trial version of studio 9 that I downloaded. It will not me allow to much else, is this normal for the trial version or a possible problem using this program with a RAM disc/drive or maybe a bad download?
The only trial limitations I know of are, no Dolby AC3 and no technical support.
You've got some sort of other incompatibility. What kinds of things are you trying to do? I assume that your RAM disc has an MPEG file? Ulead does not seem to be very good at editing MPEGs. (MPEG is not supposed to be an editable format.)

I installed a LG model 4167B, 16x dvd/cd rewriter into my new Gateway dual core processor.
I did this solely so I would be able to read from a 8-cm dvd-ram 1.4gb disk which I record to with my Hitachi camcorder. The new LG drive came with Cyberlink software which allows me to capture from my dvd-ram disc and then burn to a dvd-rw which I can do, and then watch it on tv. The Cyberlink software does not allow me to edit what I capture. I was going to purchase different software from Cyberlink but have not liked what I have read about the support. I was hoping that I could test the compatability of ULead's software. I just downloaded a program to convert whatever file it might be to mpeg so I could then edit with windows movie maker. It seem to work but could not get any sound.
I wish I knew more about this stuff. Going to scour the forums to learn.
Thanks.
