Smoothing jerky video

Post by paulcoshott »

Hi All,

I have VS9 with the update patch and plugin's. I have some MP4 video (saved in ASF format). I would guess it is about 15 fps, which makes the footage quite jerky. Is there any way with VS9 (or any other app), I can fix this video so it runs a lot smoother. It's not very pleasent watching it as it is now.

Cheers,
Paul

The footage was shot by me with a Panasonic NV-MX500A digital video camera. We had run out of tapes, so I captured the last bit we wanted onto a SD memory card using the camera's mp4 capabilities. I have the option of choosing superfine, fine or normal, but not the framerate.

Any ideas ?

Paul
Ahh now I know what you mean. I haven't tried doing that but have posted your reply here as someone else may know the answer.

Paul,
There is a tutorial written by one of the board members called "Smoothing Jerky Videos from Digicams etc." It is located in the Tutorials section of the main board index under "Video Product Tutorials."
Try that.
