Install locks up at "updating system registry" HE

I have a Pentium D 830, 2GB DDR2 4200 RAM, WIndows XP-MCE.

WHen I try to install the software, it looks like it's working fine. When it get's to the part where it says "updating system registry" it locks up.

When I restart the system, I am able to start Burn.Now, but it says that all my music files (WMA) are not valid file types!!!

ANyboldy else have this problem and if so, how did you fix it?

Are you logged on with administrator rights?
Do you have any software monitoring registry changes such as Ad-Watch?
