Am I right in thinking that having already purchased the Ulead Video Studio software that I need to fork out some more money to be able to use the Video Studio Editor now that a 30 day trial has expired. If this is the case why isn't aren't you advised of this on purchasing the product (I bought my copy in PC World). If I am correct in what bits I've read in forums how much more £ do I need to pay? I have followed the instructions to activate the product and it does say it will take you to a web page and then email you an activation code. The web page it takes me to is the shopping cart advising me that it cannot be placed in the shopping cart as the product is not available.
I have had nothing but bother from this product ever since I bought it I'm wishing now I opted for some other software for transferring VHS to DVD.
Any help would be appreciated.
30 day trial expried - how do I activate
PC World Magazine??? It came free with the magazine??? In that case it is the 30-day free-trial version.
Video Studio costs $100 USD. Some hardware comes with a limited capability "SE" version.

No - PC World - a large chain of computer hardware/software stores here in the UK.
don't understand ctapping - if you bought the full programme as a boxed set of discs and paid the full fee for it - it doesn't require any extra payment for 'activation' - have you at any time had the trial version on your PC and did you uninstall it completely before installing the disc version.
Did you register the boxed copy after you installed it.

(For those not in the UK "PC World" is a large computer store.)

PC World should only be selling FULL versions and not trials.
Trial Versions are FREE.
Go back to PC World and demand that they supply you with the correct product.

No I've never downloaded the trial version of the software on to my PC previously. I purchased the software from PC for £49.99 and thought I would have no problem using it (how wrong could I be!). I have had to uninstall it a couple of times due to problems with my PC but that shouldn't make any difference should it? I have registered the product with Ulead and have emailed them to get advice on the problem that I'm having. Will a visit to PC World be any use if they have sold me the full boxed version?
