What is the "best" way to deliver HD content to DVD format? I'm using MediaStudio Pro 8 and have been able to capture the HD via mpeg format. I then edit the footage and compile a "final" mpeg. I'm using DVD Movie Factory to burn the DVD's. The problem is: the mpeg footage looks beautiful on screen after the capture and edit process. However, the final product that is burned to DVD looks awful! A lot of motion blur, artifacting, etc. I'm assuming it's the settings of the template in movie factory that is the culprit?
I have also downconverted from the camera (HD-SD) during capture and that process works just fine! Camera to .avi, edit, create mpeg, burn with movie factory, no problems. I want to see if converting during post will yield a better image? So I'm assuming it's something to do with the way I'm trying to downconvert in post?
I'm assuming there is a "standard" procedure for this process, but I have yet to find it! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
