No initiallization error when trying to capture

Post by tvman »

 Using Movie Factory 2 SE. Just installed and trying to capture VHS to the computer or DVD. At first I was able, I thought to burn what it said was going to 11 min. worth. And I thought , What's this? Well it burned but with no audio. Then next attempt said it was going to do 28 sec. ??? OK! Well downloaded a patch said it would fix some audio problem and I thought might work for me. Later I got to looking in the capture folder and found what seemed to be my entire movie in there. Don't know how it got their or why?
At any rate now it's doing something else. When I try to click the capture button it tells me there is no initiallization and the file it was creating is corrupt and will be erased. Any ideas out there on what I'm doing wrong. This came bundled with my AverMedia PCI Card. Gotta be me not the program. Just don't see any documentation for troubleshooting.
Thanks in advance.

You'd be better advised posting in the Movie Factory Board. This one is for Video Studio.
