Easiest way to edit out

Hi, I am very green at video editing, my question is, is there an easy way to edit out commercials from captured video files using the movie factory software? I was able to capture the video, but when going through the editing steps, seems like a whole lot of effort and time to cut the frames I do not want. Thought maybe there was another way that I am missing. Thanks in advance!

The recently released Movie Factory 5 includes a multi trim function.

Movie Factory 5 also has a utility called Ad Zapper, I've used it a little but am still trying to find the best sensitivity to set it at to get it to find the commercials instead of content.
