I have DPS2.0 and VideoStudio 8 : I need to upgrade, but unsure whether I can do everything I want with one package (VideoStudio 9). Will VS9 open the project files created from DPS2 as well as from the earlier VS8 ?

VS9 will open the project files of VS8. I don't have Picture show - possibly the only remaining product I haven't got.

BUT

It is highly recommended by the veterans that if you start a project using one piece of software, finish it with that same piece of software.
Save your new software for your next project.

Along with Steve's good advice, I can confirm that ".DPS" (PictureShow project files) cannot be opened in VideoStudio 9. However, with PS4 it is possible to output your complete slideshow as a "Video TS Folder" and then import it (as you would import a video clip) to the VS9 timeline where it can then be used as a component of any VS9 project.

Hope that helps :-)
